Where have I been? You guys may have noticed my recent share of this Bionicle themed picture which was posted back in May on my Bionicle blog.

On that subject of blogging, I've recently wished so much to encourage others to keep blogs of their own, not just make easy uploads to places like Tumblr, or Deviant Art.

I feel that blogs are less commonly used now because receiving notifications for an update doesn't work the same way as sites now using notification bell icons. You have to check your reading list and see what's new manually unless a link in shared for each update on a site that does notify you.

But to me it's a real shame that all of the great art and details behind the process, personal messages from the artist, and alternative ways to display daily art activity aren't commonly kept someplace stable.

A blog is a more personalized place to keep all the amazing stuff you like and do in one spot. It's your own domain, your own little corner, a digital magazine filled with all kinds of inspiring content.

I feel sad and even kind of scared that so few people don't have their own blogs for sharing their creativity, because while blogs rarely ever, if at all change drastically in appearance or function, platforms like Deviant Art and other social spots seem to turn everything upside down so often and so severely that they end up tampering with the very social structure of the website.

It feels like while constantly updating the site, more of the good qualities get buried. Updates, friend lists, voices never heard, the activity of the artists using the site sadly seems to go unnoticed, and the updates, before they've been fully tested, are forced onto the user.

I don't want to see all the art and activity of artists get buried or lost in all the clutter and confusion when icons are changed and switched around, and other things missing. This is why I feel it would be amazing for more people to have blogs, so in case something goes wrong on one platform, odds are the blog you keep rarely ever gets drastically changed unless you yourself choose to change up the look and button placement. All the stuff you do would still be somewhere more stable for those interested to find and browse through.

With that said, I've been more often posting to my little hole in the wall blogs over making frequent updates on here, not only because things seem shaky with the changes, but also because it doesn't feel secure to me.

A few things now and then may be posted here, but I encourage you guys to more often look at my blogs for fun updates now and then.

Been a long time since I've made a journal entry. Share your heart prompt seemed like a good time to write a new one. So, here are five art pieces from my favorites on a subject I love, collage and paper arts.

This last one might seem more spooky for Valentine's theme, but the colors of pink mixed in with other shades does, and I love coffee. =P
